The container has landed
Forty feet of prefabricated bamboo, shipped across an ocean, now sits in Nevada City. And the pre-build begins.
On July 20 the container started moving. On July 21 it reached Nevada City, California. The staging ground where the Resonance Tree gets its dry run before the desert.
Inside: the Tree, disassembled. Full-culm structural bamboo, prefabricated by master craftspeople in Bali, packed to survive a container crossing and a customs line. This is the part of bamboo architecture nobody photographs, the freight, the paperwork, the pallet math, and it is exactly the part that makes the rest possible.
The weeks ahead are pre-build: sorting culms, test-fitting connections, and training the volunteer crew that will raise the Tree on the playa. If you are near Nevada City and want your hands on it, the volunteer door is open at resonancenetwork.org/tree.
