About this piece
Our signature specialty piece: bent-laminated structural rings from Ø50 cm to Ø440 cm, built up from treated bamboo splits in 6–12 layers. They set the geometry of a whole shell. There is effectively no other US supplier of curved laminated bamboo at this scale.
Made to order, steel-strapped at the splices, and pinned to a jig while the laminate cures.
These are made-to-order and priced per project. Worth knowing: the ring itself is inexpensive to make (~$379 for a Ø440). Most of the delivered cost is freight, because rings are bulky and eat container space. That means multi-ring and combined orders bring the per-ring cost down significantly.
