About this piece
Plupuh is flattened, woven bamboo. A warm, textural surface for walls and ceilings. Treated and sold by the 3 m sheet in black or blonde.
The same family of parts skins a bamboo structure: split-bamboo diagonal lattice for gridshells, woven plupuh panels for enclosure, and lidi rod bundles (6 m, 26 rods) for lashing and detail. Structure and enclosure in one material: the lattice that carries load also filters the light.
An inexpensive material to make and a genuine design product: a quiet, high-margin panel that skins a space beautifully.
